Mountains are the main part making all natural complex of the country. Many call Kyrgyzstan by the second Switzerland because of similarity of the nature of the Swiss Alps and the Kyrgyz mountains. But if in the Alps of Switzerland there is no place where has glanced the tourist's look, then the nature of Kyrgyzstan remains pure and untouched, and every year draws more and more attention of fans of the mountain nature. Powerful ridges, the wide closed and half-closed intermountain hollows define features of the nature and climate. More than 6,5 thousand glaciers form Kyrgyz Arctic. In the territory of Kyrgyzstan there is the highest point of all Tian - Shanya-Jengish Chokusu. Its height makes 7439 meters, and there is he in east part of the country. The top, the second for height, - Lenin Peak 7134 meters high, is on the Trans Alai Range in the south of Kyrgyzstan. In mountains it is possible to meet a great number of the rare and disappearing animals included in the Red List. Among them there are arkhara, the Central Asian otters, gray monitor lizards, red wolves, and the true master of the Kyrgyz mountains, a magnificent snow leopard. For those who at least once will see with own eyes the majestic nature of Kyrgyzstan, will never forget picturesque mountain lakes, the rough mountain rivers, falls, majestic rocks, curative sources and century glaciers.

Day 1: Bishkek – Burana – Tamga

Today you will start your tour from Bishkek, which is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and located at an altitude 760 above sea level. Bishkek is 135 years old city. On the way, you will stop for visiting Burana Tower in Tokmok Town, which is in 75 km from Bishkek. After visiting Burana Tower, local museum and stone fields, you are going for lunch. You can try origin Kyrgyz food. On the way, you will visit the very interesting family of Eagle Hunters. There you learn more about Eagle Hunting, training and many other facts. After you drive to Tamga village on the southern part of Issyk-Kul Lake. Night in Tamga guesthouse.

 

Day 2: Tamga – Barskoon – Chokolu Lakes

Today we drive to Barskoon gorge where we will start our trekking. The length of Barskoon gorge is more than 30 km. We will go through pass, it is 3736 meters high. On the way, we will have a picnic. Trekking time will be about six hours. Night in camp.

 Day 3: Chokolu Lakes – Jashil Kol Lake – Dzhukuu gorge

Today we start our trekking at eight o`clock. You will go over Dzhukuu pass (3512 m). Also you will see Jashil Kol Lake, which is located at an altitude 3200 m high. Jashyl Kol Lake means green lake. Picnic on the way. Night in camp.

Day 4: Dzhukuu gorge – Ashu Kashka Suu gorge

Today we have trekking from Dzhukuu gorge to Ashu Kashka Suu gorge. Picnic on the way. Night in camp at the altitude 2779m.

Day 5: Ashu Kashka Suu – Jukuchak gorge

Today your trekking will be to Jukuchal Gorge. You will go through the pass Ashu Tor, it is 3641 m.high. Picnic on the way. You stop today at hot waters. There you can have a rest. Night in camp. Trekking time will be about 8 hours.

Today we are going to Kizil Suu Gorge through Orto Bulak gorge. Orto-Bulak is 2643 meters high. Picnic on the way. Night in camp.

Today we start our trekking to Chon Kyzyl suu gorge. We stop today at Jili Suu gorge. There is hot water reservoir, where you can swim and have a rest. Picnic on the way. Night in camp at the altitude 2531 m.

Day 9: Jeti Oguz – Karakol – Bishkek

Today you will see beautiful Seven Bulls and Broken Heart. After you are going to Karakol town, where you will have city tour, visiting Church, Dungan Mosque. Continue tour way you wil drive through Cholpon Ata town which is on the northern border of Issyk – Kul. In Cholpon Ata you will visit Saimaluu Tash open air museum with petroglyphs. Night will be in hotel in Bishkek.

The weather in Kyrgyzstan

 The climate is continental in Kyrgyzstan, very cold winters and hot summers. In Kyrgyzstan, the best time is from mid-June to late September. But time, as elsewhere, can vary depending on the cycles of drought and hot periods or heavy rains! Because of the altitude and climate, we offer this trip in July or August. The climate is continental, with little precipitation. Air is changing dramatically reduce the heat during the day and at night in the summer, especially above 2000 m. The importance played by the differences between mountains and desert valleys. Snow lies on high peaks. Summer is quite hot and dry with possible thunderstorms, especially in June and July. Requirements for passport and visa

 

 Make sure your passport is valid for more than 6 months after the expire date. A visa is not required for entry into Kyrgyzstan since 22.07.2016. Exactly such formalities and for the citizens of France and Switzerland. Travel always with a color passport photos and a copy of the passport.

 

Vaccination and health

 Currency in Kyrgyzstan is Kyrgyz Som. Asia expedition may advise you to leave the KGS 110 euros per person as a tip. Based on the amount, it is multiplied by the number of days speaking guide 2 € per day the driver of 1-2 € per day. Accomodations and conditions

Journey  private vehicles, a minibus 4x4 depending on the location and size of the group. The roads are pretty bad, except for some major routes. However, considerable work on the building of new roads is conducted on Chinese and Tajik borders. Accommodation at the hotel, in the family and in the camps.  Hotel are in cities. Also for living, we use the tent for 3 persons per tent. Mattresses are also available. Everyone is responsible for assembling and dismantling his tent. Food

 Breakfast: hot dishes. Since the Kyrgyz people have been strong enough, they prefer a large amount of food . No problems. We provide you a meal, you can make additions in food to your liking.

 

Luggage

During the day you can take with a lightweight backpack with necessary items. In the camp you can leave your main bag where all your things .. Backpack: this bag you use in an airplane or wear every day for hikes, excursions and transfers. Reminder: length, width and depth of your bag must not exceed 115sm. Maximum of 5 kg. Attention never put in your hand luggage knife, metal or blunt objects, batons, food or liquid volume more than 100 ml during the flight. Most airlines limit the number and weight of baggage only one suitcase weighing 20 kg per person. Note: Any additional bag or extra weight will be charged by the airline during of registration. Hygiene and Clothes

Behavior

 

It’s multicultural country, please  you must respect the customs, traditions, culture and religion people. In the city (mainly in Bishkek) dress code is free, but to visit religious places should wear long-sleeved clothing and pants. The campaigns in rural areas or small towns, villages, wear long sleeves that cover your knees and shoulders especially in religious places. For swimming in lakes and rivers, for the ladies one should choose shirt covering the entire body.  When we visit religious sites or living houses  one need to take off your shoes, stroking the child's head or shake hands with women are considered to be unacceptable.  Avoid aggressive tone, you should not raise your voice, gently exert signs of love in public or better avoid them in public places. Do not give pens, sweets and other gifts to children. This behavior is sort of begging and sometimes children drop out of school. Do not distribute drugs. Tipping is not required on a daily basis. Residents of the wealthy countries regularly tip.  Tipping may vary depending on the quality of services, guide services, drivers, service at the hotel and duration of services. In any case, keep in mind that it’s better to give nothing than not to give enough! At worst, you risk offending a person. If you want to give something out of their own pocket, do it friendly. To the locals it would be a gesture that you appreciated their work. In hotels, you can give a tip 0,10 € for luggage assistance. The country of nomads, has its own habits and customs, lifestyle.  It is important to pay attention to the protection and conservation of nature. Do not leave the non-degradable waste on the ground, take them with you! For example, the batteries have expired, plastic bags in towns and villages because the management of village waste is not always in control and destruction of litter!!! Therefore, it is imperative not to litter, not throw away degradable waste.

 

 Keep in mind, it is forbidden to buy souvenirs of wild animals and flowers.
